General Terms

The terms and conditions below apply to all purchases made on The Footstool Company Ltd. web site. You offer to buy the Goods at the price and delivery charges displayed on our website at the time we receive your order.

We will check your order and, if accepted by us, confirm by email or letter the details of the order. If we find an error in prices we will contact you to reconfirm the order at the correct price, or you can cancel the order. If we cannot contact you after 7 days we will treat the order as cancelled, not charge you, and notify you of this.

Payment
Payment is due before we despatch the goods. We take your card details when you place the order and it is accepted. All prices are inclusive of VAT. We only accept orders placed on the web site with payment by specific credit or debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Visa Delta, Switch and AMEX. A 2% surcharge will be added for AMEX cards. We will validate the products, your cards details and the delivery timescales before accepting your order. Payment can also be made by cheque or BACS for orders sent by post or fax.

Delivery
Delivery will be made by our carriers to the address supplied by you. Please allow 21 - 28 days for delivery of standard orders to UK addresses; heavier items may take up to 30 days. We ask you to contact us to get agree a quote for to non UK addresses. We will use reasonable efforts to deliver within the stated time, but delivery dates are not guaranteed. Product Details
We will use every effort to ensure that all descriptions, prices, colours and sizes are correct. Due to differences in settings on your computers, printers and software, the colour reproduction of products may vary. All sizes given are approximate and may vary. Since many products are made from natural materials there may be slight differences between actual products.

Our Guarantee & Returns
Since you are buying the Goods by mail order, if, for any reason, you are not happy with your purchase, or the goods are faulty or damaged, we will offer a refund. You must notify us of your intention to cancel, by email, letter or fax within 7 days of receipt of your Goods. In any event, you may not cancel if the Goods were customised or personalised for you.

You must return the Goods to us within 21 days of receipt, in their original condition and packing, and with the delivery note and returns form completed. Returning the Goods is at your risk and cost, so you must ensure that the Goods are safely packed and labelled to avoid damage and loss in transit. If you return goods after delivery to you, we will deduct a £10-20 handling charge (depending on size of items) for our costs. This does not affect your statutory rights.

After we receive the Goods, we will credit the same card as used for the original purchase with the refund. If you do not return the Goods to us, or they are lost in transit you are liable for the cost.

Taxes & Duties
We have no knowledge of and responsibility for the laws in your country of residence. You will be fully responsible for import duties and taxes applicable in your country of residence.

Content & Intellectual Property Rights
Title and Intellectual Property Rights in the Content, whether provided by us or any other content provider, shall remain the property of us or other Content providers. You may download and copy details of Content from the web site, provided it is solely for your personal use and you maintain all copyright and Content notices in the Content. You may not copy, reproduce, sell, publish or create derivative works from the Content. We will pursue and protect all rights in all Countries.

Liability
In any claim against us, our maximum liability, in any event, will be limited to the original value of the goods supplied by us that are in dispute.

General
The Footstool Company Ltd. may change these terms from time to time without notice.

No order will be binding on you or The Footstool Company until accepted by us. Goods ordered will become your property when we transfer to our carriers, or when they are paid for in full whichever is the later.

The products sold on our web site are sold for use in the United Kingdom, and all sales are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
